The first two of our many new products are now available for purchase! The Fermenting Crock, 5 Liter, Artisan Green with Stone Weights and the Cabbage Tamper/Masher/Pounder are now listed on the website!
The Fermenting Crock, 5 Liter, Artisan Green with Stone Weights is a new size of our popular 3L Artisan Green Fermenting Crock. The 3L crock is almost sold out again, so we are excited to be able to offer this new 5L size. In addition, the 3L size is too small for stone weights, but the 5L size includes weights! We will have 2L version of this crock as well coming soon, so stay tuned!
You can also find our new Cabbage Tamper/Masher/Pounder on the website as well. We have had many requests for this item, but the first prototype we received on the last shipment wasn't up to our standards. So we made some custom changes to the design and are now happy to offer this product! The Cabbage Masher is perfect for pounding the liquid out of cabbage when making sauerkraut.
We also wanted the Cabbage Tamper so that we could create a Beginner's Fermenting Kit, which will be posted on the site later this week. Stay tuned to the blog or our Facebook page to be the first to know when more new items are listed!

Our 3L Artisan Green Fermenting Crock has been extremely popular, so we are expanding the available sizes of this unique item. We will soon have a 5L and 2L of this crock available as well. We will also have a very limited number of this 3L and 2L crock in an Artisan Cream color.
We have been very pleased with the quality of the Artisan Green crocks and have therefore added more products from this craftsman. We will have two sizes of garlic crocks in green and a lard crock in brown. We will also be offering a brown mug from the same artisan.
Finally, we have had many requests for a wood cabbage tamper/masher. The first prototype that our wood manufacturer made wasn't large enough for our needs. So we made a few changes and now have one we are happy with!

We are very happy to say that our container is finally here! Our fermenting crocks and cabbage shredders are back in stock on the website. And we'll have a sneak peek here on the blog of some new products which arrived as well!
The container was packed full - floor to ceiling! Which means we should be fully stocked for awhile now. And with the hard work of our helpers, it only took about 2 hours to unload.
Of course it took a few days after that to sort through everything and get it organized. But we now have updated the website with the correct stock numbers of all of our current products and are shipping orders as they arrive. We will have new products coming to the website over the next few weeks. Stay tuned to the blog in the next few days to see a sneak peek of some of the new items. And of course, follow us on Facebook where we post all new items as they are listed!

Have you ever had one of those days, weeks, or in our case months, when whatever can go wrong does go wrong? Well that seems to be what is happening with this shipment. First it was delayed 3 weeks in Hamburg, with no reason given. Then once it finally got to Montreal, it sat for a week and a half, with no explanation given and repeated assurances that it would leave in the next 24 hours. And now that the container has finally made its way to Buffalo, NY it is once again sitting, and waiting, with no estimate of when it will be released.
We have contacted everyone we know to try to get things moving and even though everyone acknowledges that this is a "hot rush" as we have been delayed over a month so far, we are still being delayed. Yesterday we were told it would be delivered on Friday and now today we are being told its on hold again. Grrr! We are all very frustrated.
We appreciate all of our customers who have been hanging in there waiting for our products to be back in stock. WE are sure that this has been as frustrating for you as it has been for us. Hopefully next week, but right now, your guess is as good as mine!
Our latest shipment is due to arrive on April 28, which means our popular Fermenting Crocks and Cabbage Shredders, which are currently out of stock, should be available next week! We've had many people asking when will be back in stock, and barring any huge unforeseen complications, we can finally say next week!
This shipment is our largest to date, so once we are back in stock things should be available for the next few months. But in addition to it being our largest shipment, it has also been the most complicated to manage. We have seen many delays beyond our control that have been very frustrating!
The one item that we won't be getting large quantities of is our very popular 3.6 Liter Artisan Green Fermenting Crock. Because these are made by one man in his small studio, we can only get a few at a time. If you are interested in these crocks, I highly recommend emailing me, firstname.lastname@example.org, to be added to the list to be contacted once these crocks are back in stock. We will notify the people on this list first before advertising that the 3.6 Liter Artisan Green Fermenting Crocks are back in stock anywhere else. But once this crock is sold out, we won't have any more for at 2-3 months. We do hope to have another version of these crocks available as well, but as they are a new item, I can't say much about them yet! But stay tuned to the blog and our Facebook page for more updates!

We've had the same return policy for awhile now, but we recently took the time to rewrite it in a clear and easy to understand way. As a small business, customer service is extremely important to us. We want to make sure that you are happy with your purchase and your experience buying from Stone Creek Trading.
However, sometimes things happen beyond our control that would lead you to need to initiate a return. We feel that our return policy balances the needs of our customers with our ability to run our business. To find our return policy, simply follow the link in the footer of our website or in the FAQ section. I have also copied and pasted the policy below.
Due to the large, heavy and fragile nature of many of our products, damage during shipping does unfortunately happen. We are constantly evaluating our packaging and hand pack every order to ensure that your products arrive in the best condition. However, we cannot guarantee that our "Fragile - Handle with Care" stickers are read and followed!
In the event that your item arrives broken, please email email@example.com immediately. Please open and inspect all packages upon receipt. We cannot process damaged claims more than 30 days after you received the item. Please keep the broken item and all packaging for at least 14 days after you have contacted us.
When an item is damaged during shipping, we do not require that you return the broken item to us. Instead, we ask that you email us photos of the damaged item and any damage to the packaging. In addition, if you purchased a fermenting crock, please indicate whether the lid and stones were damaged, or only the crock itself. Once we have the photos, we will be able to package up a replacement and ship it to you within 1-2 business days.
Customer Initiated Returns
If you have changed your mind and would like to return the item you purchased, please contact us immediately. You will be responsible for paying the return shipping to get the product back to us. Once we have received the item, we will inspect it for any damage. If the product is unused and in sell-able condition, we will issue a full refund excluding shipping charges.
You must contact us before sending the item back to us, otherwise we won't be able to process the return. The item will need to be back in our possession within 45 days of the original order. If we receive the order outside of this time period, we will be unable to process your return.
Please note - many of our items are large and fragile. This means that they are more prone to damage during the shipping process. We recommend you purchase insurance on the return shipment (as we do on all shipments) for the purchase price of the item. If the product is damaged during the return shipment, you will be responsible for filing a claim with the shipping company if you choose. We will be unable to give you a refund of the original order in this situation.
If you believe the item you received is defective, please contact us. We will do our best to work with you to resolve the situation.
